Day Trading with Two Young Kids
On Instagram and throughout Facebook groups, I make day trading with kids look Easssssy. Ha! Truth be told my mornings are hectic although routined. Their Breakfast is made by 8am, my girls are fed and changed before 8:30am. I report to my trading station by 8:35am, scanning the markets and preparing for the open. But wait-10 minutes in- My soon to be 3 year old wants a snack– “A snack, you just haaaad breakfast” She doesn’t care. My 17 month old can speak a few words- and she too would like a “bana” . I get up from my trading station into the kitchen to get two bananas and some goldfish. Crap it’s 8:50am, time to narrow down my watchlist and post the watchlist on FB. And there goes the whining, “Are you two fighting? Share the toys, there is one of each”. It’s about 9:15am, I have already charted my top 3 potential trades. I get up from my work station to start the DVD with Leap Frog- the sounds each letter makes. The girls love it!
I sit back at my work station sipping on my glass of Apple Juice, checking my (whatsapp) My Partner is ready to rock out. 9:30am opening bell. “Ding Ding” My big girl calls me, “I need help with the potty” LOL great! up I go. I make it quick. Back to the desk just in time to catch my first trade. Live post in groups, conversing with my partner, talking to my girls, closing out my position- money in the bank. I look at the clock…Ohh it’s only 9:50am. Multitasking is key!
Depending on how I feel, I may post more potential trades in the group in terms of momentum movers. Usually after my first trade I am done and logged off. The rest of the morning my girls and I have fun with interactive activities. By noon we are out of the house on a mission–
