Hamster’s Wheel
Professional Stock Trader: That is my job title. I am my own boss and I work the hours I want to. Truthfully I work about 1hr a day. Today’s trade took me 7 minutes to make over $500.00 with a minimum share amount. I logged off after that one trade. I can always make more; however I am governed by the set of rules I put in place for myself. These rules protect me from myself. As a professional it is important to stay disciplined; it is important to follow rules.
I teach my students about mindset which is the most important aspect of trading. It’s easy to learn fundamentals, it is easy to learn technicals but the mastering of the mind is not an exact science. Mindset is the reason why so many traders fail. They are either too greedy or too scared to enter a trade based on past performance- they are stuck in a Hamster’s Wheel. There is only one way to get out and that is based on change.
