What’s different this time?
So I’ve failed at posting on the 1st of the New Year. Honestly I have no excuse, I thought about it but mentally I wasn’t motivated. I didn’t want to be cliché with the same old saying “out with the old in with the new” herd mentality crowd. What is the significance of changing on the 1st of the New Year rather than mid year where you can make adjustments prior to the actual year? And to answer that question you have to research the results of herd mentality. It’s all programmed thinking however most still fail at the task of making those significant changes they had listed as new goals. When a person is motivated based on personal evaluation and not by the evaluation of others, the goals will most likely be accomplished. If a person is making a New Year resolution just because others are doing it; they are least likely to be successful in fulfilling it.
I made a list of new goals that I wanted to achieve in mid 2014, and I worked on executing them during that time. Now that we are in 2015 I am simply continuing on my new regiment with a changed mindset. And the key to accomplishing any goal is, remain consistent in the process, consistent in the action of doing and eventually you will succeed.
Have ever wondered why gym memberships or gym activities are so high during the first 3 months of the year and then fizzle out?? Well reread the first paragraph 😉
Make every moment count.
Happy New Year!
